Hallo ihr da draußen:
vielleicht sollte ich erstmal was über mich erzählen: Es waren einmal eine Chemikerin/Medizinerin und ein Chemiker, die sich entschlossen, eine Familie zu gründen. Was sie dabei nicht beachteten, war, dass ihre Kinder eventuell ihr Interesse an Naturwissenschaften erben könnten...So kam's dann auch. Und deshalb erforsche ich seit dem 28.10.1982 (soweit ich mich noch daran erinnern kann) ständig meine Umgebung...und den Chemiebaukasten wollte ich wirklich haben :-)

Soweit so gut, den Rest ganz kurz: Ich habe 2001 mein Abi auf dem CJD in Königswinter gemacht, meine LK's waren Biologie und Physik - Ja: in NRW ist sowas möglich. Seit Oktober 2001 studiere ich Biochemie in Tübingen (ob da wohl die Gene dran schuld waren?!?).
Das Studium bedeutet vor allem viel Arbeit im Labor, und wer behauptet, Studenten haben viel Zeit zum Rumhängen, kann sich gern mal meinen Stundenplan anschauen... :-P

2005 war ich in Ferien in Californien, mit meiner damaligen Freundin, meiner Schwester Annette und meinem Vater Karl-Heinz. Einige der vielen Bilder können hier betrachtet werden.

First of all I should tell you something about myself: Once upon a time, a chemist and a chemist/medicine decided to start a family. They didn't pay much attention to the fact that perhaps their children would inherit their interest in natural sciences. But it happened this way! So I've been constantly exploring my environment since 28 October 1982, as far back as I can remember. And in fact, I was happy when my parents presented me with a chemistry set...*boom*

Now some more information:
In 2001 I finished my A-Levels (Abitur) after finishing school classes in the "CJD Königswinter". My main subjects were biology and physics. Since October 2001 I have been studying biochemistry in Tuebingen. Perhaps my genes told me to do in this way?
Studying biochemistry means spending a lot of time in the lab, and if someone believes student life implies relaxing most of the time, they ought to take a look into my timetable …

But in 2005 I went on holiday to California together with my previous girlfriend, my father (Karl-Heinz) and my sister (Annette). You can take a look at a few of the pictures from this four-week trip here.

Ich höre gerne Musik; von Klassik über (Dancehall-)Reggae zu Metal-was-auch immer eigentlich alles, schaue gerne Filme und quäle Praktikanten im PC-Praktikum ;-). Am Computer sitz' ich auch gern und arbeite an Web-Projekten, Grafik & Design sowie an Ton und Bild.

Meine Diplomprüfung in Biochemie hatte ich am 22. Juni 2006. Danach habe ich an meiner Diplomarbeit im Labor für präklinische Bildgebung gearbeitet und im März 2007 beendet.
Im Moment arbeite ich als Doktorand im Interfakultären Institut für Biochemie (AG Feil) auf dem Gebiet der Mausgenetik und Reportergen-Systemen

I enjoy listening to almost every kind of music, from classics to rock and metal. I like watching movies and persecuting students with questions in lab courses of physical chemistry ;-). I also like working with computers, especially designing web projects and working on graphic design and movies.

I took my last diploma examination in biochemistry on 22 June 2006. Then I have worked on my diploma thesis in the Laboratory for Preclinical Imaging, which I have finished in March 2007.
Currently, I am a PhD student in the Interfaculty Institute for Biochemistry (Feil Group) working on mouse genetics and reporter genes.
